Alternative Approval Process

November 12 2009

The City is awaiting approval from the Inspector of municipalities before the Alternative Approval Process can commence for the Johnson Street Bridge Project.

Alternative Approval Process

The City of Victoria will use the Alternative Approval Process to obtain the approval of electors to adopt a bylaw that authorizes the City to finance, through long-term debt, the $42 million capital construction cost of replacing the Johnson Street Bridge.

Detailed information about the process, specific to this project, will be set by Council resolution once the bylaw is approved.
