Banjar Management – Economic Impact Assessment
At the Governance and Priorities Committee meeting on February 18, 2010 City Council instructed staff to assess the economic impact closures to the Johnson Street Bridge would have to surrounding businesses.
To produce this economic impact assessment the City, through the MMM Group, has enlisted the consulting services of Banjar Management.
Fred Culbert has a Masters Degree in Engineering Economics from Stanford University and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia. Fred is an expert in economic planning, financing and operation of infrastructure projects including marine terminals, seaports, railways, road systems and other infrastructure projects in Canada, the United States and offshore in Asia and South America. Some of Fred’s recent advisory and planning project in B.C. includes serving as Economics Advisor to the Gateway Program for the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and as Economics and Financial Advisor on hydro-electric expansion projects in the Columbia Basin for the Columbia Power Corporation.
Mary Koyl is a former British Columbia Civil Servant whose career with the Ministry of Transportation included working as a Project Director for the William R. Bennett Bridge, and conducting First Nations Consultation for the Lions Gate Bridge rehabilitation project. Mary holds masters degrees in Public Administration and History from the University of Victoria.
