Heritage Specialists

The City has engaged the MMM Group to undertake technical work for rehabilitation options for the Johnson Street Bridge. Andy Huctwith and Jonathon Yardley will provide professional advice and guidance on the heritage aspects of the rehabilitation work.

Andy Huctwith, an engineer in the MMM Group’s Kingston office and a Director of the Canadian Association of Professional Heritage Consultants, is a bridge specialist with a background in structural analysis. Andy has designed, evaluated, and supervised the reconstruction of wood, stone, concrete, and steel bridges of modern and historic design. He has significant experience with historic arch bridges constructed of either stone or concrete. In addition, Andy has been involved in the evaluation and maintenance of an historic steel Strauss Trunnion Bascule bridge.

Jonathon Yardley, a Conservation Architect, has over 30 years experience in heritage conservation. His expertise ranges from building assessment and feasibility studies, to full restoration documentation, construction and supervision.  Jonathan is a member of the boards of the Canadian Association of Professional Heritage Consultants, the BC Association of Heritage Professionals, and is president of Heritage BC.
