Alternatives

For public safety reasons, the City of Victoria has permanently closed the rail bridge after inspections found deterioration in key steel support columns.

As an alternate route, pedestrians may use the sidewalk on the south side of the road bridge.

Cyclists have the option of either walking bikes on the sidewalk or cycling across the bridge on the roadway. Existing on-road options remain available for cyclists.
