Temporary Bridge Closures July 24/25

On Tuesday, July 24 at 10 p.m. the Johnson Street Bridge will close for four hours overnight to allow for planned inspections by PCL. The bridge will be in the upright position while the work is underway and will be closed to all traffic (drivers, cyclists and pedestrians). Traffic will be detoured to the Bay Street (Point Ellice) Bridge during this time. The bridge is expected to reopen to traffic early Wednesday (July 25) at approximately 2 a.m.

Ongoing Traffic Pattern Changes Near Bridge

Drivers and cyclists can expect some traffic pattern changes near the bridge until the project is completed in summer 2018. Some lane closures will be required and commuters should watch for flaggers and temporary detours.

Signage will be placed throughout the affected area, however, these lane closures could result in some traffic congestion. Work will always be coordinated to ensure as many lanes are open as possible during the morning and afternoon commutes.
