City of Victoria Council decided to replace the Johnson Street Bridge on August 12, 2010. To help inform Council’s decision an information package and feedback form was mailed to Victoria households in July and early August and a scientific poll of businesses and citizens was conducted by Ipsos-Reid.
City staff and Victoria City Councillors attended community events throughout July and August including public markets. Two open houses and bridge tours were also organized to provide many opportunities for the community to ask questions and learn more about the two options available.
